PET AlOx Film must be matched to the actual heat process. “Heat treated” is not enough to decide whether a pasteurizable series or a retort-grade coating should enter the trial.
An AlOx Film Supplier needs the process temperature, holding time, pressure, cooling method and laminate structure. Cailong lists uncoated PET AlOx series for pasteurization and separate coated series for retort use.
Record heating, holding and cooling rather than one maximum temperature. Test transparency, bond condition, seals, OTR and WVTR after the full cycle. A film that survives heat may still lose barrier or laminate strength.
One possible retort structure is printed PET / PET AlOx retort grade / RCPP. The final adhesive and construction must be confirmed with the converter and adhesive supplier.
Compare flat laminate, formed pouch and processed pouch. Send Cailong the current structure, thermal cycle, barrier requirements, product sensitivity and failed samples.
